M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender new Super Bowl Spot is now online and you can watch it using the player below. The film is a live action adaptation of Nickelodeon’s animated TV series, opening July 2, stars Noah Ringer, Nicola Peltz, Jackson Rathbone, Dev Patel, Jessica Jade Andres, Aasif Mandvi, Shaun Toub, Cliff Curtis and Keong Sim.
I’m very excited to see this because it looks very good. I’m hoping Shyamalan didn’t edit my scenes out. He’s very easy to work with. Shoot most scenes in just a few takes and moves very fast. There are rumors about The Last Airbender being a trilogy depending on the success of this film. So make sure you go and watch it so I can be in the sequel!
This film looks pretty good. We shot on a very cold day in January at City Hall in Philadelphia. Law Abiding Citizen, written by Kurt Wimmer, is about a brilliant sociopath (Gerard Butler) who orchestrates a series of high-profile murders that grip the city of Philadelphia – all from inside his jail cell – and the prosecutor (Jamie Foxx) assigned to his case who realizes he is the only one who can end the reign of terror.
Paramount Pictures released the first photos from M Night Shyamalan’s new film The Last Airbender. The Last Airbender is based on the hugely popular and successful Nickelodeon animated TV series. The live-action feature film is set in a world where human civilization is divided into four nations: Water, Earth, Air and Fire. I played an Earth bender prisoner with long light brown hair. I wasn’t allowed to blog about it because of the non-disclosure agreement with actors but these images are now authorized to be made public. The Last Airbender is expected to be a trilogy. The first episode is not expected to be released until June 2010. You can see the first trailer of The Last Airbender in the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen opening.
Noah Ringer As Aang, The Last Airbender
Noah Ringer plays the lead character Aang, the “Last Airbender.” Working with him was great. He is a very mature 12-year-old regional karate star was who discovered in a Texas when his instructor sent in a video tape audition. Dev Patel from Slumdog Millionaire plays Prince Zuko, leader of the Fire Nation.
Aang - The Last Airbender
The Fire Nation is an oppressive race with powers to control flame. They are waging a war against the other three nations. The film’s hero, the reluctant young Aang, is the “Last Airbender”. Aang is the Avatar who, according to prophecy, has the ability to manipulate all of the elements and bring all the nations together. Aided by a protective teenage Waterbender named Katara (Nicola Peltz) and her bull-headed brother Sokka, Aang proceeds on a perilous journey to restore balance to their war-torn world.
Dev Patel of The Fire Nation
Here are a couple of interesting facts about the film’s two main stars:
Noah Ringer’s nickname at school was “Avatar” because many people thought he looked like the character that he now plays in the movie. Life is very funny in that way isn’t it?
Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel, who plays Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation; earned his black belt in tae kwon do before getting into acting, and started watching the animated television series while filming Slumdog.

I wish I could write more about behind the scenes but I just can’t because of the non-disclosure agreement. I can say that it was a joy waking up at 3am to catch a 5am tour bus for an hour long drive to the elaborate custom made set for the Earth Benders. All the actors and crew were great to work with. It has been several weeks since I wrapped up shooting my scenes and still have these funny tan lines on my feet due to the costume.
I think this is hilarious. I am want to watch it even more now. I’ve always been a Star Trek Next Generation Fan. Not much for the other series or movies. This film looks very promising though. Man, Summer 2009 has got some great films!
PLOT
Star Trek brings Kirk and Spock center stage and tracks the origins of their friendship and how they became officers aboard the Enterprise. Other crew includes McCoy (Karl Urban), Uhura (Zoë Saldana), Scotty (Simon Pegg), Sulu (John Cho), and Chekov (Anton Yelchin). Their adventure goes from Earth to Vulcan. It also features Leonard Nimoy appearing in scenes with his younger self through a time travel subplot. The storytelling is newbie-friendly, but it slyly assimilates a wide range of Trek arcana, from doomed Captain Pike (Bruce Greenwood) to Sulu’s swordsmanship to classic lines like, ”I have been, and always shall be, your friend.” More ambitiously, the movie subversively plays with Trek lore — and those who know it.
The new Star Trek (Release 5/8/2009) is a reboot directed by JJ Abrams (LOST, Cloverfield, Mission Impossible 3).
Jamie Foxx was recently a victim of a non Law Abiding Citizen while shooting his film with Gerard Butler Center City Philadelphia. On March 22, a 48-year-old man allegedly broke into Foxx’s hotel room claiming to be Beyonce’s producer. Foxx overpowered the intruder and forced him out and shut the door. The man then escaped from the cops.
However, nine days after the incident, Foxx’s security staff saw the man and contacted police. The alleged intruder is identified as Steven Taliver and has been charged with burglary, criminal threats, stalking, false imprisonment and harrassment according to TMZ. Can we add poor impersonation to the list?
Foxx commented on the incident to Access Hollywood, “I’m good now.”
“Sometimes you have to make sure every move you make in life is the right thing, and that you have people there to watch your back,” Foxx added.
The 41-year-old Academy Award-winning actor is in Philadelphia filming the crime thriller Law Abiding Citizen.

I was there on set that day and all I can remember was how freaking cold it was. The coffee turned to ice!
My Delta Dreams song Escape The Matrix was listed in SHAPE Magazine on with Ali Larter (OBSESSED / HEROES / Final Destination actress) on the front cover. The song was part of a monthly work out playlist.
The funny story is that I did not even know about that until a fan sent me a MySpace message. She said she was on the treadmill while reading the magazine and had to do a double take.
What a better way to wake up in the morning and seeing your music in a magazine with Ali Larter on the cover eh?
The music playlist is listed on page 148 in March 2008 Issue. The music is part of a 30 Minute Work Out Playlist. Other artists include Arctic Monkeys, Bruce Springsteen, Shooter Jennings, Louis XIV, White Rabbits, and Stacie Rose.

THE STORY BEHIND ESCAPE THE MATRIX Escape The Matrix was originally meant to be a mega mix of my songs from the Dream In Stereo album put to a dance and drum and bass beat. It features some melodies, vocal samples, and atmospheres from the other songs.
I recorded it using the software based sequencer Cubase VST and had several other songs opened at the same time. I was almost done with it when I accidentally overwrote the track with one of my old songs. I lost 4 days worth of work! I was never so disappointed in myself. I got back on the wagon and it took me just 2 days to redo everything.
SUCCESS! The brightside is that the song ended up being used on 2 major films:
Searching For Paradise (HBO/Sundance) featuring Chris Noth (Mr. Big from Sex and the City / Law & Order) and Susan May Pratt (Drive Me Crazy) about a crazy girl obsessed with an actor. It was someone autobiographical according to the writer and director. You can hear it in the NYC subway and park scene.
Double Dare – a double-barreled, action-packed documentary about two Hollywood stuntwomen, Jeannie Epper and Zoe Bell. Jeannie, who refuses to retire at sixty-two, doubled for Wonder Woman in the 70’s, and Zoe landed the coveted job doubling Xena at the age of eighteen as well as Uma Thurman’s double in Kill Bill. You can hear it during an Award Ceremony scene with Zoe being drunk. I met both Jeanie and Zoe at the film screening in New York City and must say they were both very wonderful. Zoe has a larger than life personality and I remember asking her if she was ever interested in acting. She said she never thought about it. Next thing I know she is a lead in Quentin Tarrantino Death Proof. Jeanie was very nice and it a pleasure hearing her stories over drinks.
So the moral of the story is to NEVER GIVE UP on ANYTHING you BELIEVE in! One thing leads to another and you just never know.
